Getting Started

You need more than a good idea!

◊    WHO is the group for?
◊    Who will be involved?
◊    WHAT do we intend to do?
◊    WHERE will we be based?
◊    WHEN will we start?
◊    WHEN will we meet?
◊    WHY is the group needed?
◊    HOW will we go about it?
◊    HOW do we know the group is needed?

Check that another group in the area is not already in existence, doing the same task. Has it been tried before? What were the outcomes?

Ask yourselves if there is anyone in the group with experience of Committee work, raising funds, running a support group or helping with advice. If not don't be downhearted.
